During this project, I was able to learn a lot about my country which was Germany. Prior to this project, I did not have a full understanding of the different inventions that originated in Germany. I was able to learn that they were able to birth the greatest mode of transportation the automobile. Along with the first stationary gasoline engine was developed by Carl Benz in 1885. Which led way to the making of the first motorcycle allowing another mode of transportation. They were also to make advances in the medical field such as inventing the X-ray and isolating morphine from opium; becoming the first to isolate an active ingredient from an herb. The item that my partner and I chose to recreate was the discovery of Alzheimer's Disease. Given what we chose to recreate is not a physical object or invention, but a discovery; it made it difficult to find a way in which we could display it. I am glad that I was able to display Alzheimer's Disease due to how the disease is able to change the brain dramatically. While constructing our product we had challenges that we had to overcome in order to have a physical object for the exhibition. The laser printer had stopped working at my school which made it very difficult to continue the construction. Our final product was three brains laser printed on wood displaying the progression of a healthy brain to a severe Alzheimer's Disease brain. LEDs lights were placed in the different areas that the disease affects the brain along with buttons to show the different areas. However, we were able to go to the middle school where we were able to laser print and continue our construction. I am glad that our product was able to come together nicely. Our prototype process was very simple. It wasn't at all complicated but rather plain due to being a cardboard piece with a brain picture glued on. Then cut with an x-to knife to the brain shape with push pins displaying the different areas the disease affects. Our prototype compared to the other prototypes, it was extremely plain and simple. Our initial plan was to create a brain out of clay and have LED lights showing the where the disease affects the brain. Based on what I saw at the exhibition I would want to learn more about Sweden. This is because it seems to be a country where life isn't rushed and has scenic views. Sweden has also been listed as one of the happiest countries and I would mind living in a country where everyone is nice. I felt very proud of my booth because we had a tablecloth with the German flag which made our booth more recognizable. Although I was stressed before the exhibition about not having a product ready I was really happy with the outcome. My participation at the exhibition was really good I felt that I was able to inform all the visitors with excellent information of the different inventions Germany created. I think exhibition went really well all the visitors seemed to have enjoyed going to the booths. It was really rewarding to teach a visitor information that they already didn't know. Having food items in the booths encouraged visitors to visit and learn how that certain food item was related to the country. Overall, I believe I was able to learn a lot about my country and had the opportunity to display an item I was proud of.

This is the product that I created along with a group member.
This is a very large gummy bear up for display.
